Astros Rookie Gives Up Four Runs in 5 2/3 Innings
The Houston Astros' eight-game winning streak came to an end on Wednesday night with a 5-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox.
Rookie pitcher Spencer Arrighetti was tagged for four runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. Arrighetti, who was making his fourth career start, gave up a two-run homer to Luis Robert in the third inning and a solo homer to Robert in the fifth.
The Astros' offense was held in check by White Sox starter Lucas Giolito, who allowed just two runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Arrighetti's Struggles
Arrighetti's outing was the shortest of his young career. He threw 90 pitches, 56 for strikes, and walked two batters.
The four runs allowed by Arrighetti were the most he has given up in any of his four starts.

The Astros had just two hits through the first five innings of the game.
The Astros' only runs came on a two-run homer by Alex Bregman in the sixth inning and a solo homer by Bregman in the eighth inning.
