Celtics' Dominant Third Quarter Pulls Them Away
The Mavericks entered the game with some reason for hope after Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis, one of Boston's best players in Games 1 and 2, sat out with a rare injury. However, Boston quickly dispelled any Dallas dreams with a dominant two-minute span in the third quarter.
With the game tied at 65 with 8:40 remaining in the third, the Celtics went on a 10-0 run to open up a 75-65 lead. The Celtics held on to win the third quarter 27-18, taking a commanding 92-83 lead into the fourth quarter.
